September 17, 2011 Greetings, Winemakers! The time is here again to fill your containers with Walker's Quality Wine Juices! We will be opening on Thursday, September 22nd at 9:00 A.M., with most varieties available. Late ripening juices may not be ready at that time...including Chambourcin, Noiret, Corot Noir, Catawba, Vidal, Traminette, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Due to an extremely high demand for wine juice throughout the United States, our supply of some favorite juice varieties will be limited if they are available at all. We regret that sales of Isabella and Isabella Blackberry will only be from September 22nd to September 28th. If and when Cabernet Sauvignon is available, the price will be announced at that time. Don't delay getting your juice, as we expect many of our juices to sell out quickly! "Pick your own" grapes will be ready when we open. We will offer Late Harvest Concord juice this year to make an "ice wine" style wine. Please note that due to the design of our cooler, we cannot reserve or set aside any juices at any time. From March till July it may be necessary to sell most or all juices available in 5 gal. hotpacks only. We feel it may be necessary to do this to maintain the quality you, our valued customers, deserve and have come to expect from us. Our 5 gallon "Hot-Pack" selections continue to be very popular, both with customers buying them while here and with those ordering them for shipment by UPS. They require no refrigeration and transport safely. When you wish to start fermentation, just remove the lid, add yeast and nutrient (included with your purchase) and ferment as usual ... it its own plastic container if you wish. Just give us a call to order delivery. We do not accept credit cards, but we'll be happy to accept your personal check or cash for your purchase.
